Makgonye Tshwaane – Executive Director

He is currently an acting CEO of Kgoshi Global Resources and responsible for operations and business development. He served as managing executive and senior consultant at Global Development Ventures and subsequently became General Manager, corporate affairs and transformation at Decti Commercial Equity. He has extensive operational experience at senior management levels in different sectors. He is a specialist in issues of enterprise development, transformation and general BEE transformation strategies and served as part of the secretariat for Black Economic Empowerment Commission (BEECOM) during 1998. He was also involved in the development of mining suppliers  transformation and BEE Verification on behalf of South African Mining Preferential Procurement Forum. He studied Law and obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Public and Development Management, Management Advancement Programme, Certificate Programme In Principles of Business (University of the Witwatersrand), Diploma In Diamond Evaluation, (Diamond Education College, Executive Preparation Programme in Mining (University of the Witwatersrand) and has acquired number of executive certificates and diplomas in minerals and environmental policy management. He is a long serving member of the Institute of Directors Southern Africa and very experienced with issues of corporate governance. He served on many boards in both private, government and development sectors.He was directly involved with BEE transformations in the mining industry and other sectors. Before establishing Global Development Ventures, he also spent time with Nedcor, Gencor, GCP Trust, and Truth & Reconciliation Commission and Witwatersrand Technikon (Now University of Johannesburg) as visiting lecturer in marketing research for the Centre for Career Development in the Faculty of Business and Management.Luki’s advanced strategic management, analytical skills, change management skills and people development skills easily lend tremendous credibility and insight to the management of complex and high-level projects.
